Before we get into your work, can you just tell us a little bit about yourself?
I’m a 25 year old Artist from the UK. I care about interactions with people and understanding them. I always try to be open minded and am a sensitive person. An avid fan of techno and drum and bass, if I’m not painting I’ll often be at a festival or music event.
We are curious about your past and your style. When did you get started with art, what are your preferred topics and how would you describe your style?
I always loved art and drawing as a child but I lost touch with art throughout my teenage years as other aspects of my life took over. In 2023 I took a step back to look at the big picture and think about what I wanted in life which led me back to art. I started creating again, using energy and emotion as my inspiration. My preferred topics are humans and their relationships with others and themselves. I try to paint the things we can’t see - the invisible threads that connect us all. I often use surreal elements to portray this, with a vibrant colour palette and fluid brushstrokes.
To be part of our project, we asked each artist to address certain topics in their designs that we should all think about more often. Can you briefly explain what your designs are about and what message you want to convey with your designs for maezen.
We are a cohesive unit and act as one singularity through our connections. Every person, all life, atoms, and things invisible to the eye are entangled to create our universe. ‘You are the universe experiencing itself’. Connections provide us with hope. We should love one another and care for our relationships, not just with other people, but with ourselves, with the planet, and for the future. What we do changes the course. This is what my work is about.
Last question, is there one thing which is important to you that you would like to share with our community?
Nurture your relationships, prioritise acceptance, and be present.
